Prunella at Play in May

Who can forget the month of May...

May is one of Prunella's favourite months and to say that it has flown by is an understatement.
The garden goes through a mammoth change in May beginning with an abundance of bluebells, primroses and daffodils and then later on a profusion of self seeding aquilegias and hardy geraniums.

Prunella always looks forward to her Canary Bird bursting into bloom, a spectacular sight that brightens the gloomiest of Spring days.

The apple blossom has now faded and in its place are tiny green fruits.

The local Robins have been busy feeding their young.

Talking of feeding birds,
Prunella couldn't resist these two new bird feeders.
This one matches her new Pergola that Billy Blue Hat has been building for her...

...and a beautiful rose covered teacup and saucer which matches Prunella's Abraham Darby Rose perfectly!
The birds love them.

A stunning scented yellow rose from a dear friend Sheila's cutting.

Clematis The President entwined with the sweet smelling Arthur Bell make a winning combination.

Clematis Miss Bateman...

Clematis Montana ...

Clematis Nelly Moser...

Prunella loves bright colours and a little fun in her life. With that in mind she had a brilliant idea to transform her rather boring dull brown fence.
Billy Blue Hat has been busy bringing Prunella's design to life.
Prunella thanks you BBH from the bottom of her soft heart ♥

The white flowers of Viburnum plicatum "Mariesii" make a sumptuous soft bed for Prunella when she needs 40 winks.
Gardening is fun but Prunella finds she gets very tired at times!

Prunella's Viburnum makes the perfect backdrop for her stunning red Peony.

Prunella says a fond farewell to May and welcomes June with joy.

She has a few new additions to her ever expanding rose collection to share with you.

You can never have too many roses
Have a wonderful June dear friends!

Until the next time,
stay safe, happy and healthy.
Hugs to all.

Prunella and the Fungi...

During the month of November Prunella has been out and about spotting colourful fungi, soft green mosses and ferns... ...
