Just a Bad Hair Day...

Most of us have woken up one morning to find that no matter what we do or try, we just have to accept the brutal fact that, we are indeed going to have a bad hair day...

Thelma Thrush is certainly having a bad feather day. Possibly a bad feather week!
She looks quite put out that Prunella has unfortunately noticed her just dragged through the hedge look...

The local House Martin decides it's probably best to keep his head down and pretend that he hasn't noticed Thelma's rather dishevelled appearance...

Not so with the very outspoken, loud mouthed Drake Mallard whilst out for a stroll with his pretty partner.
"Oh my, did you see the state of Thelma? What a fright!" quacked Drake.
"I'm not looking," muttered Doris Duck highly embarrassed. "If you haven't a good word to say about the dear old bird, I suggest you keep your bill tightly shut!"

Off the pair waddled and quacked, Drake looking a little sheepish...

xXx
Until the next time, keep smiling,
 stay safe, happy and healthy.
Hugs to all.
xXx

  2. Prunella, you are a very gifted photographer! Birds are extremely hard to photograph, sometimes I think you are a bird enchantress.

  3. Prunella doesn't have a bad hair day ever - she is always happy & elegant :) I suffer of that every other day, I think. At the moment I have no time to look in the mirror because have to keep the furs of Sissi and Pineapple chick :)The duck pair is so cute and the story hilarious. I love Prunella's feathery (?) companions!

    1. PS Thank you for your comment!
I'd love to have a macro lens, but at the moment I'm using the same gear as ever. When there's enough light, the photos become a little bit better. :)
Big hugs to you... and Griffin! ♥

  17. Oh yes, we've all had those days. Not so much for me anymore now that I got my hair cut short. It's a breeze to take care of now.

  18. I am sure that Drake meant no harm, and he is after all the most handsome of the whole bunch! Nice shots of the House Martin on the ground.

  20. House Martins spend so little of their time on the ground. You were on the ball with your camera there Prunella.

  21. Good Morning Prunella, Oh what a shame for Thelma to be caught on camera when she is having a bad hair day and if that wasn't enough, for Drake to pass by and make an unkind comment. I was pleased to see that Doris put him in his place, after all not everyone can be as handsome as he is.
I can certainly sympathise with Thelma, I have certainly had many of those bad hair days.
    Best Wishes to you.
