If you go down to the woods today you may be surprised to find a Wooden Owl...

That is what Prunella found while wandering around the little wooded area that belongs to Nuffield Place. A National Trust Property near the village of Nuffield in the Chiltern Hills, South Oxfordshire.
It has the most adorable eyes, just like those of a child's Teddy Bear...

On nearing the house gardens Prunella spotted this little predator...

He slinked away quietly on discovering Prunella's presence.
Look out Mr Robin you may be next on Ginger Cat's Menu...

The Buddleias were in full bloom.
You can see why they are named the Butterfly Bush.
Prunella was delighted to spot this Peacock Butterfly feeding on the buddleias delicious nectar...

Until the next time,
stay safe, happy and healthy.
Hugs to all.

Thank you kindly for your visit and we dearly appreciate your comments.
We hope you had as much fun reading Prunella's Blog as we had writing it.
Happy Blogging!

  4. Someone had fun carving that owl. It reminds me of a "cuckoo clock" we had about 55 years ago, my brothers and I loved it because it was in the form of an owl, much like this one, and his eyes clicked right and left as he ticked.

  5. Beautiful photos of the robin and the beautiful peacock butterfly :-)
The owl carved from wood I find really super nice!

    Greetings, Helma
