Prunella at Play in May

Who can forget the month of May...

May is one of Prunella's favourite months and to say that it has flown by is an understatement.
The garden goes through a mammoth change in May beginning with an abundance of bluebells, primroses and daffodils and then later on a profusion of self seeding aquilegias and hardy geraniums.

Prunella always looks forward to her Canary Bird bursting into bloom, a spectacular sight that brightens the gloomiest of Spring days.

The apple blossom has now faded and in its place are tiny green fruits.

The local Robins have been busy feeding their young.

Talking of feeding birds,
Prunella couldn't resist these two new bird feeders.
This one matches her new Pergola that Billy Blue Hat has been building for her...

...and a beautiful rose covered teacup and saucer which matches Prunella's Abraham Darby Rose perfectly!
The birds love them.

A stunning scented yellow rose from a dear friend Sheila's cutting.

Clematis The President entwined with the sweet smelling Arthur Bell make a winning combination.

Clematis Miss Bateman...

Clematis Montana ...

Clematis Nelly Moser...

Prunella loves bright colours and a little fun in her life. With that in mind she had a brilliant idea to transform her rather boring dull brown fence.
Billy Blue Hat has been busy bringing Prunella's design to life.
Prunella thanks you BBH from the bottom of her soft heart ♥

The white flowers of Viburnum plicatum "Mariesii" make a sumptuous soft bed for Prunella when she needs 40 winks.
Gardening is fun but Prunella finds she gets very tired at times!

Prunella's Viburnum makes the perfect backdrop for her stunning red Peony.

Prunella says a fond farewell to May and welcomes June with joy.

She has a few new additions to her ever expanding rose collection to share with you.

You can never have too many roses
Have a wonderful June dear friends!

Until the next time,
stay safe, happy and healthy.
Hugs to all.

Thank you kindly for your visit and we dearly appreciate your comments.

Happy Blogging!

 Linking with Flower Wednesday.

  1. Dear Prunella,

as I could see, we have got the same flowers in our garden.
Is there a yellow aquilegia in your garden? Yes? Then I would love to get some seeds, you can get seeds from my red ones if you like.
I love the Robin. We´ve got a couple too but I only see them in winter. True birds, never leave their home area.
Wish you a chilling time in the garden, hugs Barbara

  2. Hello Prunella. your blooms are gorgeous. So many pretty spring colors. I love your garden art and your sweet pup! Have a happy day and new week ahead!

  3. Prunella looks like she is enjoying all those pretty blooms. May sure has flown by this year. Love the fence, what a great idea. How different your robins are from ours! What a pretty cup and saucer feeder.

  4. Beautiful flowers!

  5. Hello darling Prunella,

The new bird feeders are lovely and so is the new design for the fence. I love the photo with Griff. He must be a reflective dog. :)
You are of course always ahead of us, but for us too May was a month of a big change, almost from the bare winter views to the lush summer gardens... to enjoy.
    Have a happy June!

  7. Dear Prunella, this is an absolutely delightful post. Your garden with its host of flowers is absolutely glorious. BBH is so clever making this charming pot of flowers for the fence. From your design? What a lovely creative mind you have. The pergola is a work of art and I love the bird feeders. And your pretty little Dog and Robin make me smile too. In fact, I leave smiling. Thank you so much for sharing this with Today's Flowers. I appreciate that more than these few words can say.

Strange. Prunella has chosen exactly the same bird feeder as I...
