Ladybug and Lambs Tails...

Prunella loves Ladybirds and was delighted to spot Scarlet Ladybug. Her bright colour and pattern made her a particulary attractive visitor to Prunella's garden. Much to Prunella's delight Scarlet had been busy dining on aphids and was now resting on a beautiful bright yellow daffodil enjoying the Spring sunshine.

The Magnolia tree is a spectacular sight at this time of year.
Last year Prunella potted up a Magnolia Stellata.
At first Prunella was sure it was covered in furry little mice but on closer examination it was just the soft buds. They almost look and feel like little soft bunny feet...

Now in full bloom it is a welcome sight each morning...

Prunella knows it's Spring when she spots the catkins blowing in the breeze like little lamb's tails.

and Spring isn't complete without the sound of bleating lambs running across the fields...

Until the next time,
stay safe, happy and healthy.
Hugs to all.

Thank you kindly for your visit and we dearly appreciate your comments.
We hope you had as much fun reading Prunella's Blog as we had writing it.
Happy Blogging!

  1. All the spring flowers and scenes are beautiful. What you call ladybirds, we call lady bugs but I like your name better. I love ladybirds.
    The lambs are so cute.

  2. Hello Prunella, The ladybug is so cute. I love your pretty daffies and the blossoms. The lambs are adorable. Spring is a beautiful time of the year! Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!

  3. What a lovely post! Prunella looks so happy wearing those pretty flowers in her hair.
It's a wonderful idea to have a blue wall behind that gorgeous magnolia.
Who wouldn't love Ladybirds? And who wouldn't dislike aphids? They are even more awful than the hairy spiders... ;)
Wishing you cheerful spring days! xx

  4. Hello Prunella Darling,
I also love ladybirds. In Germany we call them Marienkäfer which means Mary (from the virgin Mary)bug. Ladybird reminds me of LadyBird Johnson, you know.
The little lambs are full of life and ethusiastic. I always loved our Suffolk lambs with their sweet black faces.
Nice week for you my dear, hugs Barbara

  5. Oh, such beautiful spring images, Dear Prunella! The ladybird is so sweet with her pretty polka dots. It is always wonderful to see the lambs this time of year and all the pretty blooms. Wishing you a happy week full of sunshine! Hugs xo Karen
